Lockie Ferguson will be leading the Kiwi side. Regular skipper Kane Williamson will make a comeback in the ODI World Cup. Meanwhile, stand-in skipper Tom Latham has been rested from this series. Ferguson and Trent Boult who played the series against England are part of the series.

New Zealand lost an ODI series 3-1 to England while Bangladesh endured another disappointing Asia Cup campaign. Playing at home, the Tigers have an advantage as they know the conditions.
