The left-handed batter recorded the second-fastest hundred by an Indian in List A cricket, surpassing players like Yusuf Pathan, Urvil Patel, and Abhishek Sharma.
Vaibhav recently played for India in the Under-19 Asia Cup 2025. He scored the majority of his runs against lower-ranked opposition, including 171 runs against the UAE. Vaibhav finished the tournament with 261 runs from five games at an average of 52.20 and a strike rate of 182.52, including one century and one fifty.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi produced a remarkable knock in the Vijay Hazare Trophy on Wednesday, December 24. He became the second-fastest Indian to score a List A century. The 14-year-old reached the milestone in just 36 balls while representing Bihar against Arunachal Pradesh in a Plate Group match at Ranchi.
Suryavanshi dominated the bowling with a flurry of boundaries, smashing 10 fours and eight sixes. He brought up his hundred with a single at the start of the 12th over.
