Indian all-rounder Axar Patel recently appeared on a YouTube show and was part of a ruthless trolling session against former Pakistan captain Babar Azam, for his incorrect usage of the word 'goosebumps,' which he had referred to as 'boosebumps.'
The rivalry between India and Pakistan is not a new phenomenon in world cricket; however, over the years, the players have consistently maintained friendly conduct between them. In recent times, this conduct has been dimmed, and players have turned to trolling each other personally as well.
Several such ugly incidents were marked during the Asia Cup as well, where players from either side were seen in a battle of words and actions, even when they were off the field. Despite controversies, Axar Patel did not hesitate to support a troll on Pakistani cricketer Babar Azam.
Babar Azam's 'boosebumps' fumble resurfaces on the internet
Just some time ago, Pakistani veteran cricketer Babar Azam was spotted in a video alongside former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen. The two had a lovely chat on Babar Azam's experiences of the game, and that is when the former Pakistan skipper fumbled.
Azam, who is not known for his fluency in English, said that, "When people are screaming my name, it gives me 'boosebumps.'" The words immediately caught the attention of thousands of people on social media platforms, and netizens ruthlessly trolled him for his mispronunciation of the word 'goosebumps.'
Several such incidents of many other Pakistani cricketers, like Mohammad Rizwan, have previously taken over the internet, and they have also been trolled and humiliated for such reasons.

Axar Patel ruthlessly trolls the Pakistani cricketer
Indian all-rounder Axar Patel, one of the limited-overs kingpins recently for India, made his first appearance after being named the vice-captain of the Indian National team for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.
During his latest appearance on the YouTube channel "2 Sloggers," Axar was questioned about who he supports in the Ashes, to which the Indian cricketer wittily responded, saying, "The team that plays good cricket."
When Axar Patel shared some of his insights on the game and said he sides with teams who play a good brand of cricket, the host immediately drew attention, saying, "Axar bhai ki baat sunkar mujhe aa gaye goosebumps (Hearing Axar's words, I am getting goosebumps)."
This immediately drew the attention towards Babar Azam, and Axar Patel too laughed out loud and enjoyed trolling the cricketer, as he said, "Mein Boosebumps ko support karta hoon."

Babar Azam's desperate attempt to thrive in T20Is with BBL debut
Pakistan's captain, who is now the highest run-getter in the shortest format of the game and is nearing 4500 T20I runs, is not being considered a first choice in the Pakistan T20I side. Azam failed to show promising form in the format and was also snubbed from the Asia Cup squad.
Ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2025, Babar Azam showed some form against Sri Lanka and South Africa, but his final attempt to convince his selectors and head coach would be the Big Bash League. He made his debut in the Australian T20 league with hopes of retaining his T20I spot with Pakistan.
Playing for the Sydney Sixers, Azam struggled in the first two games, as he was dismissed for a 5-ball 2 and a 10-ball 9 in the two innings. He finally broke the shackles in the third match for the Sixers and scored his maiden BBL half-century. In 3 matches, the batter has 69 runs at an average of 23 and a strike rate of 121.05.
