Rauf initially brushed his ear to signal that he was unfazed, but he later responded with controversial gestures, including a fighter-jet motion. Rauf was heard shouting "6-0," adding more fuel to the rivalry. The incident clips quickly went viral on social media, and Indian fans mocked him for his gesture.

Rauf bowled four overs and took 2 wickets for 26 runs. However, the Men in Green lost the match by six wickets in Dubai on Sunday, September 21. Rauf managed to strike a key blow by dismissing Suryakumar Yadav, forcing him to leave the field without adding to the score.
India Chase Down 172-Run Target With Six Wickets in Hand
India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, chased down a 172-run target with six wickets and seven balls to spare in Dubai. Abhishek Sharma played an extraordinary 74 off 39 balls, including six fours and five sixes. Shubman Gill scored 47 from 28 balls, including eight fours.
Sharma and Gill added a 105-run stand that laid the platform for the chase. Tilak Varma scored an unbeaten 30 runs from 19 balls, while Hardik Pandya finished the match with 7*.
Haris Rauf exchanged heated words with Abhishek Sharma in the fifth over, after Gill hit a boundary. Umpire Gazi Sohel had to intervene in the situation. Sharma was named Player of the Match for his batting performance in the chase.

After the match, Abhishek Sharma expressed his displeasure at the on-field provocations. The left-handed batter said that he did not like the unnecessary challenges from the opposition.
“Today it was very simple. The way they were coming at us for no reason, I didn’t like it at all. That’s why I went after them with my batting. I wanted to deliver for my team,” Abhishek said.
After this win, India will have a two-day break before their next match against Bangladesh in Dubai. Pakistan, on the other hand, have only a single day to recover before facing Sri Lanka, who also suffered a defeat in their opening Super Four game.
