Australia will take on the West Indies in the second of the three-match Test series. This article provides details about Australia's Playing 11 vs West Indies for the second match of the series.

Australia Playing 11 vs West Indies- 2nd Test, Australia tour of West Indies 2025:

Openers: Usman Khawaja, Sam Konstas

Australia will once again open the innings with the pair of Usman Khawaja and Sam Konstas in the upcoming second Test of the three-match series against the West Indies.

Konstas looked promising on his debut against India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India last year but hasn't had a lot of chances since then.

With Marnus Labuschagne expected to be left out of the second Test as well, Konstas will have another opportunity to prove his credentials as an opener in the longest format of the game.

Sam Konstas will be partnered by Usman Khawaja, who fell short of a half-century while riding his luck in the first innings of the first Test.

Khawaja will again look to take the responsibility upon himself to see off the new ball, as he did in the first match of a new WTC cycle.

The duo would hope to get the team off to a solid start, something which they failed to do in the last game.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Cameron Green, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Beau Webster, Alex Carey (wk)

The opening pair will be followed by a middle order, which had a decent outing in the first match as the likes of Beau Webster and Alex Carey took the team to a competitive total after failing in the first innings.

Having said that, the team management would want Cameron Green and Steve Smith to get a big score under their belt in the upcoming game to get some confidence before the third and final Test of the series.

The Aussies would once again wish for their two experienced fast bowlers, captain Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc, to make valuable contributions with the bat as they did in both innings of the first Test.

Bowlers: Pat Cummins (c), Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood

Australia would want their bowlers to keep up the good work they did in the first match by bowling West Indies out under 200 and bringing the visitors back in the game after a disappointing performance by the batters.

The onus will be on the trio of Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and captain Pat Cummins to restrict West Indies to a below-par total.

The fast bowlers will be supported by Nathan Lyon, who will look to stem the flow of runs from one end to create pressure on the Windies batters.

Australia is expected to retain the same bowling combination for the second Test of the series, scheduled to be played on Wednesday (July 3).
