LSG vs GT IPL 2024 Match 19 - Lucknow Super Giants innings: Marcus Stoinis' fifty and finish by Nicholas Pooran take the home team to a decent total
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) won the toss and opted to bat. But the decision didn't go in their favour initially. In form batter Quinton de Kock (6) fell early and to worsen things more for them Devdutt Padikkal (7) perished too as Umesh Yadav took two wickets upfront.
Skipper KL Rahul (33) struggled with his timing but played decent role for his team. He along with Marcus Stoinis bailed the team out of trouble after two early losses. The duo added 73 runs for the third wicket that put pressure back on the Gujarat Titans.
Marcus Stoinis went on to slam a magnificent half-century and ended with an innings of 58 runs. After he got out, Nicholas Pooran (32*) took charge and made sure that his team finished on high. Ayush Badoni (20) supported him well as Lucknow Super Giants ended with a total of 163/5.

LSG vs GT IPL 2024 Match 22: Gujarat Titans innings: Yash Thakur and Krunal Pandya demolish GT batting lineup
The new opening for Gujarat Titans in Sai Sudharsan (31) and skipper Shubman Gill (19) did wonders for the team. The left-right combination worked pretty well as the one-time winners were off the sensational start in the chase. The duo added 54 runs for the opening partnership.
But after that things changed drastically for the Gujarat Titans as they lost wickets in clusters. Lucknow Super Giants spinners in Krunal Pandya and Ravi Bishnoi were all over them before Yash Thakur chipped to do more carnage and take his team close to victory.
Rahul Tewatia (30) in the end tried to take his team but he didn't get the desired support. Lucknow Super Giants closed the game perfectly well. Yash Thakur was the pick of the bowlers as he bagged a five-wicket haul. Krunal Pandya returned with the figures of 3/11 whereas Ravi Bishnoi and Naveen-ul-Haq picked one wicket as they bundled out Lucknow Super Giants for 130 runs to win the game by 33 runs.
