Fans on Twitter reacted after Kolkata Knight Riders thrashed Delhi Capitals to win their sixth game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. They won the game by seven wickets at the Eden Garden in Kolkata on Monday.

Delhi Capitals had a terrible outing with the bat as none of the batters managed to score big. Prithvi Shaw (13) and Jake Fraser-McGurk (12) batted with aggressive mindset but couldn’t quite set the stage on fire at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. 

However, after the Delhi Capitals kept losing wickets at regular intervals and came under pressure. Skipper Rishabh Pant (27) tried to settle in but couldn’t carry on the start he got as he perished to Varun Chakravarthy, who claimed three wickets. 

With the team tumbling at 101/7 Kuldeep Yadav (35) played a vital hand and powered Delhi Capitals to a total of 153 for seven. For Kolkata Knight Riders, Varun Chakravarthy was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of 3/16. Apart from him, Vaibhav Arora and Harshit Rana picked two wickets whereas Mitchell Starc and Sunil Narine also claimed one wicket each with the ball.

Phil Salt (68) took Kolkata Knight Riders off to a brutal start with the bat in the chase. He almost sealed the game for his team with his attacking mindset. Even though the team lost three quick wickets, Kolkata Knight Riders were well in the game and had an upper hand.

Skipper Shreyas Iyer (33*) and Venkatesh Iyer (26*) in the end added 57 runs and took their team to a comfortable win. They won their 6th game of the tournament and had 21 balls to spare.
