India and England go head to head in the IND vs ENG fourth Test in Ranchi starting from February 23. The match starts from 9.30 am IST with India leading the series 2-1. The series is still well poised for a comeback from England.

All the three Test matches have yielded a result. England won the first Test by 28 runs. India came back to win the second Test by 106 runs while England came back to win the third Test by 434 runs making one of their biggest victories in Test cricket by runs.

The Test series is well poised at 2-1 with the fourth Test in Ranchi. The track historically has been a turning wicket. Based on the conditions, India have decided to rest Jasprit Bumrah to manage his workload.

Mohammed Siraj will lead the pace attack with Mukesh Kumar expected to replace the veteran Indian pacer. Meanwhile, KL Rahul is also ruled out of the fourth Test after he has not recovered successfully from his quadriceps injury. His participation in the fifth Test in Dharamsala will be decided in due course.

England on the other hand, will continue to miss Jack Leach who is ruled out of the Test series with a knee injury. Tom Hartley, Rehan Ahmed, and Shoaib Bashir are the three specialist spinners England now have available. Joe Root is the fourth spinner.

Looking at how the England spinners were taken for plenty by the Indian batters in the second Test, skipper Ben Stokes is likely to bowl in the remaining two Test matches.

He did not bowl in the first three keeping his knee injury in mind. His bowling will also take the workload off the England pacers James Anderson and Mark Wood.
