SL vs BAN Match Preview– Super 4 Match 2, Asia Cup 2023. Colombo is all set to host the SL vs BAN Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 match on September 9, Saturday. The match starts at 3 pm IST which is 3 pm local time. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have met earlier in the tournament with the Lankans beating the Tigers by five wickets.
Colombo will host all the remaining Asia Cup 2023 fixtures including the final on September 17. Meanwhile, the SL vs BAN is under rain threat. The ACC earlier announced Hambantota as an alternate venue for the Super 4 games of Asia Cup 2023 but then decided to stick to Colombo despite knowing the rain threat.
The India-Pakistan and India-Nepal games in Pallekele have been already affected by rain. On the other hand, there was no rain threat in matches at Lahore with teams playing under scorching heat. Meanwhile, there is a chance of 80 percent chance of rain during the day on Saturday and almost 85 percent in the evening as per trusted weather channels when Sri Lanka plays Bangladesh.
Rain has been the biggest concern of this Asia Cup so far with all the three games played in Sri Lanka affected by rain. The IND-PAK match was called off while India won against Nepal in the DLS method. The ACC has been targeted for scheduling matches in Colombo despite this being the monsoon season in Sri Lanka and Colombo especially experiencing continuous rain.
