This is a must-win match for Ireland to keep the series alive. The Irish have never beaten India in a T20I so far.

India won the first T20I by two runs. The Men in Blue needed to be 45 / 2 at the end of 6.5 over and they were well placed at 47/2 therefore ahead by two runs. India managed to win the match and lead the series 1-0.
